The WNPC invites your attendance and participation in the 30th annual meeting in Breckenridge, Colorado. The WNPC is the oldest ongoing conference focused on neuropeptides. The first conference was in 1976 and has been convened on consecutive years since 1979. The formal WNPC was conceived as a mechanism for dissemination of information and vehicle to encourage collaboration among scientists. In the beginning, the WNPC was linked formally to the Winter Conference on Brain Research. Over time the WNPC developed largely because work in the field of neuropeptides continued to proliferate and prosper.

The format and agenda for the WNPC has not changed since 1981. The meeting spans four days with four to six hours of meetings each day. The conference typically features eight to ten symposia and a poster session. Sessions typically begin between three and four in the afternoon and continue until ten in the evening. All attendees are invited to participate in a data blitz session coordinated with poster submissions. The setting is informal and participants are encouraged to recreate together during the morning and early afternoon. A brief list of publications from the meeting is listed.
